One Drop presents breakthrough outcomes at AHA 2021: Studies show mental health and blood pressure benefits alongside MLM predicting blood pressure

I am thrilled to announce that after investigating the effectiveness of the One Drop platform for managing chronic health conditions, we presented our breakthrough findings at the American Heart Association (AHA) 2021 Scientific Sessions.

In all, One Drop had four research studies accepted to AHA 2021, which is widely considered the world's premier cardiovascular research and instructional meeting. It was an honor to participate and showcase the results of our studies to top experts in the field of cardiovascular health.

Among our findings, One Drop employee members significantly reduced their blood pressure, saving employers an estimated $1,849.16 per person per year for employees with unmanaged hypertension and $2,353.47 per person per year for employees with stage 2 hypertension.

Separately, new RCT evidence supports the effectiveness of One Drop in reducing lifestyle risk factors, improving glycemic control, and boosting psychological well-being in members at risk for heart disease due to comorbidities. Specifically, One Drop members with type 2 diabetes and hypertension saw an absolute reduction in lab-evaluated A1C and were nearly five times less likely to experience depression than the control group.

In a third study, the One Drop data science team unveiled new predictive capabilities, expanding our machine learning models beyond glucose to accurately forecast average blood pressure one week in advance. The strength and diversity of our predictive capabilities demonstrate utility for members needing proactive support and employers seeking lowered costs related to high blood pressure and other complications.

Lastly, the One Drop data science team revealed a new adaptive cardiovascular disease risk score, expected to more accurately reflect the work an individual is doing to improve their health compared to existing validated measures.

With so many people impacted by cardiovascular disease, the number one cause of death in the U.S., and healthcare costs at an all-time high, the moment has never been more urgent to bring new evidence-based solutions to help save lives and improve health. Along with the One Drop team, I remain committed to conducting research that ensures equitable access and program effectiveness for all people. We are dedicated to uncover the insights and validated the approaches that will lead to better health and well-being for people managing heart disease and other chronic conditions.

This year, One Drop partnered with Withings to bring best-in-class medical devices to employees managing blood pressure and weight and announced membership in the American Heart Association's Innovators Network at the Center for Health Technology & Innovation. We also launched a novel AI-powered solution for cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevention with Bayer, combining clinical best practices with the latest technology and predictive analytics to reduce CVD risk and put One Drop members on the path to better health.

Precision health solutions from One Drop aim to instill confidence in people living with chronic conditions by equipping them with the proactive tools and personalized support needed to make intelligent decisions, achieve better outcomes, and reach their full potential.
